Rickey is a member of the Board of Directors of SASH and a therapist andinternationalpresenter on addiction issues with over twenty years experience in addiction treatment. He has provided administrative and clinical services for free-standing psychiatric hospitals, medical-surgical facilities and free-standing residential treatment centers. Before opening his private practice, Rickey worked for over twelve years with Sante Center for Healing, a residential treatment center in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. While at Sante, Rickey's primary focus was on the treatment of substance abuse/dependency and sexual addiction. He has his Masters Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Advanced Addiction Counselor and Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor – certifying him as an expert court witness for offenders with addictions.
Rickey is also a Level II EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapist for the treatment of Trauma and addiction protocols.
